friend, christopher. >> it has been hard for me. i could not sleep. all i can do is think. >> 12-year-old christopher gabriel's bobbi along with his cousin and a 7-year-old were pulled from the marshy hope creek sunday. their last seen playing basketball in his church parking lot saturday evening. they were reported missing hours later. they could not be found on land. police then called in natural resources for a boat. police believed that in the 105 degree heat, the boys may have tried to cool off in the water. what puzzles loved ones is why. none of the boys could swim. >> they know the danger is -- the river is dangerous. >> they do not swim. >> at this point, there is no hint of foul play. they believe what happened is simply a terrible accident.

special needs children has been attacked with a knife once again. >> it is the third attack on the animal at frying pan park in less than two weeks. and it comes after police have arrested a local teenager for the attacks. cracks this is -- >> this is loosened up. this is the second time she has been attacked and stabbed with a knife. there were three horses that were attacked in this pen in april. then a month later, some more animals at a neighboring barn were slashed in a meat -- in the same manner. and then yesterday police were back here investigating yet another stabbing after having arrested a teenager two weeks ago. >> people have been coming to this part for years. they said they thought that the attacks on the animals were over since police made an arrest and a suspect is still in jail. >> it is quite unbelievable.

ocean city, right along the coast at 77 degrees. quantico and reagan national at 86 degrees. temperatures throughout the mid- atlantic are pretty comfortable. further south, a bit cooler air. this is being modified by heavy cloud cover and widespread thunderstorm and shower activity. the temperatures are going to build again by sunday. we may see temperatures near 90 degrees. this is where we measure moisture in the air. the 40's and 50's, 40's upstate new york. the muggy stuff is out radovan the line at -- is out of the south, right along this cold front. it is from the high heat and humidity that is pushing south.
